
Dr. Genevieve Melton-Meaux, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Surgery, Director of the Center for Learning Health System Sciences, and Associate Director of the Natural Language Processing/Information Extraction Group at the Institute for Health Informatics at the University of Minnesota. She is also the Chief Analytics and Care Innovation Officer at Fairview Health Services and serves as the President of the American College of Medical Informatics. Dr. Melton-Meaux brings multi-faceted expertise in health IT evaluation; usability analysis; data management and analytics; clinical natural language processing; biomedical terminologies and ontologies and their application for primary and secondary uses; EHR conceptual models; clinical decision support systems; and the application of machine learning to clinical problems.
