Visualization of Patient-Generated Health Data: A Scoping Review of Dashboard Designs

From the AHRQ CDSiC Innovation Center, this article published in Applied Clinical Informatics (ACI) shares findings from a scoping review of studies of patient-generated health data (PGHD) dashboards that involved clinician users in design or evaluations. The objective of the research was to identify best practices in visualizations of physiologic PGHD to design a software application as a patient-centered clinical decision support (PC CDS) tool. The authors found themes around PGHD dashboard user preference in terms of presentation and use and concluded that more information is needed as PGHD usage grows. Click here to read the article.
