Stakeholder Community and Outreach Center
The Stakeholder Community and Outreach Center (Stakeholder Center) is a forum for a diverse range of clinical decision support (CDS) stakeholders to come together to help shape the current and future landscape of CDS. Through its Workgroups, the Stakeholder Center provides thought leadership for the Clinical Decision Support Innovation Collaborative (CDSiC) activities, develops products that will help advance CDS, and offers input on CDSiC Innovation Center projects.
The design, implementation, and measurement of CDS involves a range of stakeholders, with each playing an important role in ensuring that CDS provides patients, caregivers, and care teams the information they need to make healthcare decisions. The CDSiC Stakeholder Center brings this expertise together in four Workgroups to identify and address critical needs in each step of the CDS development process.
Each of the CDSiC Workgroups is focused on a specific topic area that is critical to the advancement of patient-centered CDS (PC CDS). These Workgroups are developing written products in the form of reports, resources, and tools that will address gaps in the current CDS landscape. Thus far, Workgroups have produced 12 products, with an additional 11 products anticipated by Fall 2024. These products will inform the activities of the CDSiC Innovation Center and support the external community in advancing the development, implementation, and measurement of PC CDS to reach short- and long-term CDS goals. In addition to product development, the Workgroups provide thought leadership and input for other components of the collaborative, ensuring that the activities of the CDSiC are informed by a range of stakeholder perspectives.
