Aziz Boxwala, MD, PhD, is the Co-Founder and President of Elimu Informatics. Boxwala has over 25 years of experience in healthcare informatics and expertise in CDS and interoperability, healthcare informatics standards, clinical research informatics, business rules engines, and semantic web technologies. Boxwala leads Elimu's product development team in creating a visual SMART on FHIR app development tool and a CDS service, based on the CDS Hooks specification. He is a member of the CDS Working Group at HL7, a principal author of the HL7 Knowledge Artifact Specification, and continues to contribute to HL7’s CDS-related standards.
