Aziz Boxwala, MD, PhD, is the Co-Founder and President of Elimu Informatics. Dr. Boxwala has over 25 years of experience in healthcare informatics and expertise in CDS and interoperability, healthcare informatics standards, and clinical research informatics. He leads Elimu's product development team in creating a SMART on FHIR app development tool and a CDS service, based on the CDS Hooks specification. Previously, he was a faculty member in Informatics at University of California San Diego and Harvard Medical School. As a member of the CDS Working Group at HL7, he contributes to the development and piloting of HL7’s CDS-related standards.
