Dr. Randa Perkins, MD, MBA, FAMIA, is the Chief Medical Information Officer and Senior Director of Clinical Informatics at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, FL. In this role, Dr. Perkins leads multiple teams of clinical informaticists from a wide range of disciplines, including general medicine, nursing, pathology, and more to create, implement, improve, and support the electronic healthcare system and other clinical applications. She has over a decade of experience in operational clinical informatics, including organizational structuring, clinical decision support design and utilization, and the facilitation and optimization of EHRs. She is also active in clinical practice as a board-certified Family Medicine physician.
