CDSiC Measurement and Outcomes Workgroup Charter - Option Year 2

The Measurement and Outcomes Workgroup Option Year 2 Charter is a document that describes the purpose, goals, and key activities of the Workgroup under the CDSiC Stakeholder Community and Outreach Center.

The Measurement and Outcomes Workgroup (formerly the Outcomes and Objectives Workgroup) Charter formally outlines plans for the Workgroup’s activities under Option Year 2 of the CDSiC Stakeholder Center. This document outlines the purpose and goals of the Workgroup, which are to leverage the knowledge of clinical decision support experts to advance current approaches to, and instruments for, measuring and evaluating the implementation, equity, and effectiveness of patient-centered clinical decision support (PC CDS). The Measurement and Outcomes Workgroup will develop PC CDS measurement objectives and effectiveness criteria for assessing the intended and unintended impact of CDS on patient lifeflow, health journey, and health-related outcomes. The Workgroup will advance the development of standardized implementation measures to support CDS implementers’ design and implementation decisions and demonstrate the impact of PC CDS on both clinical processes and patient outcomes.
